Costa Berries

Costa is Australia’s largest grower, packer and marketer of premium quality fruit and vegetables. A world leader in producing blueberries, they grow approximately 45% of Australia's total blueberry supply as well as export to South East Asian, Middle East, Europe and the UK.

The Costa Blueberry Farm in Far North Queensland originally spanned 12,000 hectares. With the blueberry demand high, the farm required expansion. To prepare the extra 8,000 hectares for plantation, Costa purchased a Manitou MT-X625T.

The MT-X 625 telehandler is the perfect machine for construction work involving lower heights. The compact dimensions of this unit make it perfect for cramped sites, and with its 4-wheel drive and steering you can easily get around, even on cluttered terrain.

The farm now has 20,000 hectares of berries to harvest each year thanks to the MT-X625T. The staff are overwhelmed with the performance of their new machine and are looking into attachment options to make future work and expanding an even easier task.
