No REST for the Wicked!

Tempur intranet large

The TEMPUR story truly began when NASA developed a pressure absorbing material to cushion and support astronauts during the strain of lift-off. They needed an exceptional way of evenly distributing weight and pressure. This unique material later became TEMPUR: the only mattress and pillow recognised by NASA and certified by the Space Foundation.

Due to higher racking installed at TEMPUR’s new Carrum Downs facility, they required a forklift capable of lifting stock to greater heights. It was only natural that a company with such progressive technology needed a machine with similar principles. Rob Curtis from NTP Forklifts Australia was confident that TEMPUR’s newly delivered Jungheinrich ETV 118n DZ840 Reach Stacker would exceed all expectations.

The ETV 118n has a 1.8 tonne capacity and a lift height of up to 8,400mm. Like all Jungheinrich reach trucks, the mast retracts within the contours of the truck. The retractable masks means the machine has a low entry height, making it easier for the forklift to travel through warehouse doors.

Endurance and cost effectiveness were important aspects in TEMPUR’s decision making process. The ETV 118n can guarantee up to two shifts on the one battery (or 16 hours of continual charge.) No interim changing or having to switch the battery saves time, energy and lowers operating costs. This is a point of difference from other competitors.

The advanced ergonomics and technology increase operator productivity and comfort thanks to the generous size of the cab, stress free steering position and outstanding visibility both during travel and when stacking and retrieving loads.

Overall, TEMPUR were appreciative of the assistance shown by the sales, service and transport staff at NTP Forklift Australia.
